5 Uplifting Things to Do During Quarantine

  1. Give a note of appreciation or encouragement:

There are many people risking their health to keep others cared for and protected. There are also many people who are feeling especially stressed, fearful, and anxious. In honor of frontline workers and to bring hope to community members during this time, I want to share this free digital card. You can save and print it out or send online to friends, family, or whoever might need this message!

2. Color and explore new artwork:

Some artists are offering free downloads of their drawings for coloring. Be sure to support them and check out their other art, too!

3. Make, donate, or shop face masks to help keep yourself and others safe:

Mask Project NYC is accepting any amount of donation to help buy materials needed to make masks and ship to facilities all around the US. You can also order standard masks free of charge or purchase limited edition masks. For every limited edition mask you purchase, four masks will be donated to a facility or family in need.

4. Cook something new while learning about another culture:

Check out A Light Affair, a blog about food, culture, and coming together: “I hope you find recipes here that inspire you to cook different and cook beautiful, to create something with your hands, and make food that is nourishing to your stomach and spirit.”

5. Reflect on the present moment and take care of your mental health:

Pick a few or try all 30 days of self-reflection provided by Brittney Moses. This set of journal prompts was created to help people navigate through the changes and unknowns.
